Megan Montee, PhD

Director, Performance-based Language Assessment

As the Director of Performance-based Language Assessment, Meg Montee leads test development, assessment research, and test validation projects. She is particularly interested in technology-based speaking assessment. Dr. Montee holds a dual position at CAL and Georgetown University where she works as an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Director of the Assessment and Evaluation Language Resource Center.

In addition to test development and assessment research projects, Dr. Montee also works extensively with educators. She leads online and face-to-face courses about language assessment and test design, and works with schools to develop assessment tools and training materials for local contexts.

Dr. Montee received a Ph.D. in applied linguistics from Georgia State University a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from Georgetown University.
