Presented at: La Cosecha 2019

While there is considerable evidence about the success of dual language (DL) programs, there is very little research on the specific school-wide characteristics or effective instructional methods that promote high academic achievement in the two languages (NAS, 2017). This presentation will discuss the results of an analysis of state-wide longitudinal language and literacy data from Spanish/English DL programs. Programs that consistently showed high results are being studied in depth to document successful DL practices.
