Hall Passages: Dual Language Books Build Bridges for Refugee Students

A Montana elementary school is using bilingual books to help a group of students from Congo learn English and build skills in their native Swahili language. The books, bought with a grant, also are part of an effort to help the students strengthen ties to their heritage and culture, adjust to life in the US, and build relationships with their tutors and peers.
