The present study attempts to ascertain the assessment needs of second language acquisition researchers and language teacher educators. An online survey for each group asking respondents to describe their backgrounds, responsibilities and research, and current assessment uses and needs was piloted, revised, and disseminated. Over 115 second language acquisition researchers and 265 language teacher educators responded to the surveys. This poster describes survey results and details the reported assessment uses and needs of each group, and makes suggestions for future research and ways in which assessment support and education could be provided to this audience.
